Appointment of new Hartland School Principal

May 14th, 2019

Dear Hartland School Community,

As you are aware, Laura Hollingsworth, our school principal, will be retiring at the end of this school year.  We have conducted a rigorous selection process to select the new principal of Hartland School.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce the new principal of Hartland School.  The Board of Education unanimously appointed, Alissa Goguen, on Monday evening, May 13, 2019 to become the Hartland School principal.

Alissa has served as the Head Teacher and Literacy Coach for the past three years.  Throughout this time, she has proven to be a valuable asset to the Hartland School Community.  I look forward to working with Alissa.  Her warmth and compassion for Hartland mirrors the warmth and compassion of this amazing community.   Please join me in welcoming Alisa Goguen as the next Hartland School principal.

I would like to thank, Laura Hollingsworth, for the outstanding work she has done for the past eight years as the leader of Hartland School.  Laura always put students first and did whatever was needed to ensure that every student was prepared to become successful in life.

Thank you and I look forward to an exciting school year.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions.

Sincerely,

Imma Canelli

Superintendent of Schools
