Change the Script- Opioid Awareness Forum
March 9th, 2018
The State of Connecticut has launched the Change the Script campaign to address the opioid epidemic currently plaguing communities across the State. Youth Service Bureaus were granted funds to support and deliver the messaging. Granby, East Granby and Hartland combined as a community coalition. One of the criteria is to host and advertise opioid addiction and overdose prevention and education opportunities. To meet this objective the coalition is holding its Opioid Awareness Forum on Wednesday, March 21 from 7-9 PM at the Granby Senior Center/Youth Services building located in the Town of Granby Municipal Complex.
The Forum panel participants are representatives from police, ambulance, pharmacy, Farmington Valley Health District, prevention specialist and students from Youth Action Councils. The school perspective is most welcome.
