School Notices April 12 , 2024

Dear Hartland School Families,

We had a busy week full of different activities.  On Monday, students in grades 4-8 went outside to view the solar eclipse.  This was a wonderful learning opportunity for the students and they greatly enjoyed it.  Students in grades K-3 had a virtual viewing party and were able to also view the eclipse through the office window  :)

We are excited to announce that Hartland School has been recognized as a SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION by the Connecticut State Department of Education for the 2022-2023 school year. Only the top 10% of schools in the state of Connecticut are eligible for this honor. Hartland School received this designation for HIGH PERFORMANCE in BOTH Reading and Math.  To celebrate and honor this accomplishment, we held a Bingo Bash today with the students.  

This is the second time in the past four years that Hartland School was recognized as a SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION. It also received this recognition in 2018-2019. Hartland School was one of only sixty-nine schools in the state that received this designation for both HIGH PERFORMANCE and GROWTH in BOTH Reading and Math.  

We are extremely PROUD of our STUDENTS and STAFF!!  This is an outstanding accomplishment and a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.  

The school will be closed next week due to April vacation.  We look forward to students returning to school on April 22nd.  Have a wonderful and fun-filled April vacation.
